I finished these up yesterday and am pretty proud. It was truly hard not to wear them myself! I'll have to make another pair all for me!

Yay its complete!

During my 8 week course at the Art School of Peterborough I learned to take my craft to the next level. Sawing, filing, soldering, hammering, drilling, I was really excited to buy my first power tools also!!! How fun it was!!! I can't explain how much it truly was exactly what I needed in my life at this particular time. With a 7 week stint of hybernation approaching, I will need to keep my hands from being idle. My need to create will be fufilled with plenty of time at my fingertips, away from the usual 9-5.

I was inspired today by a snowy, slippery day, to stay indoors (aside from a quick trip to Home Depot and the closest Tim Horton's) and start a pair of earrings, and another ring. For now, these are a couple shots of the first ring completed in my classes.

Today I felt damn crafty! Spent nearly the entire a.m. building necklaces, bracelets and an earring or two! Then taking photos in the chilly outdoors. The charming chunky wooden beads escaped their stretch cord bindings a few times. But I prevailed and didn't let the little buggers away with it. They now rest safely in a little circle of friends all their own!

Well, I am home feeling flu-ish and decided today was the day to start a blog!
I have a little jewellery biz and also a 9-5 that keeps me busy. Probably why I am under the weather today and in need of some rest. I am new to the blogging world and am anxious to explore what it's all about! I have a 4x6 piece of silver just aching to be cut, hammered and polished into a beautiful creation, but just don't think I can do it today. So I will return to the couch again for now, and fufill my need to craft another day. Maybe tomorrow!
